WOMEN'S PACHIRA HEMP/RECYCLED BOOT by Jade Planet
The Pachira is the first offering of an environmental footwear line from Jade Planet, a new company founded by Julie Lewis, the founder of Deja Shoe and Deep E Co, two legendary companies (not affiliated with Vigilante Jade) that pioneered concepts of environmentally and socially responsible footwear. Features include a hemp blend upper and laces (50% hemp, 50% cotton), eyelets made of 80% postconsumer recycled materials, a sole made of 40% postconsumer recycled material, 100% recycled foam (from seat cushion manufacturing) for the removable insole padding and tongue, synthetic leather produced with with water-based processing and containing 20% postconsumer recycled content from soda pop bottles, and a lasting board made from 100% recycled materials. The shoe box is printed with soy-based inks and is reversible for use as a gift box. Some customers report that these boots run a little small.
