Derived from the guar bean, natural guar
gum powder is an excellent thickener and
enhances the smooth texture of frozen desserts, shakes,
puddings, dressings, sauces, and more. Unlike
other thickeners, guar gum does not require any
heat or cooking, but it does
act as an excellent binder for gluten-free baking.
a small amount of guar gum powder in your blender recipe will go a
very long way. Typically, 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon is all
that is needed for an entire recipe. Each 1/2-lb. bag
contains approximately 300 1/4-teaspoon servings.
