SIMPLY WELLNESS COCONUT ALMOND FODMAP BAR (1.4 oz.)

The SimplyWellness Digestive Specialty Coconut Almond FODMAP bar is designed for those with IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) following a low-FODMAP diet. And it's great for anyone looking for an easy-to-digest nutrition bar. Each bar is vegan, wheat-free, fructose-free, lactose-free, sugar alcohol-free, inulin-free, and soy-free.

Ingredients: Oats, Brown Rice Syrup, Natural Peanut Butter, Quinoa, Almonds, Coconut Oil, Coconut Chips, Natural Flavor and Sea Salt. 180 calories, 5g protein, 20g protein [4g sugars, 2g fiber], 10g fat.

FODMAPs are short chain carbohydrates that are poorly absorbed in the small intestine. They include short chain oligo-saccharide polymers of fructose (fructans) and galactooligosaccharides (GOS, stachyose, raffinose), disaccharides (lactose), monosaccharides (fructose), and sugar alcohols (polyols), such as sorbitol, mannitol, xylitol and maltitol. The term FODMAP is an acronym, derived from "Fermentable, Oligo-, Di-, Mono-saccharides And Polyols". Although FODMAPs are naturally present in food and the human diet, FODMAP restriction has been found to improve symptom control in people with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and other functional gastrointestinal disorders (FGID).
